How to erect/setup a Bouncy Castle.
( Bouncyness Bouncy Castle Instructions )

This page explains in detail how to erect a Bouncyness Bouncy Castle.
It also explains how to de-inflate and pack away the Bouncyness Bouncy Castle.

SETTING UP THE BOUNCY CASTLE

1.       The Bouncyness Bouncy Castles loves being placed in an area that is the flatest part of the garden away from garden drying poles for safety. It can be erected on bumpy ground but obviously the flatter the ground the better. If it is going on gravel or lumpy or concrete surface a groundsheet must be placed under the Bouncyness Bouncy Castle. Also for oily or dirty Surfaces.

Note:
ALL DOG POO MUST BE REMOVED AND COVERED UP WITH A BIN LINER UNDER THE GROUND SHEET BEFORE PLACING THE BOUNCY CASTLE ON IT.

2.  To prevent any possible damage to the Bouncyness Bouncy Castle, always walk over the area before placing the (Ground sheet first if required)Bouncyness Bouncy Castle to check that there are no stones large or small or that there are no other sharp items i.e broken pieces of glass that can damage the Bouncyness Bouncy Castle.

Note again: ALL DOG POO MUST BE REMOVED AND COVERED UP WITH A BIN LINER UNDER THE GROUND SHEET BEFORE PLACING THE BOUNCY CASTLE ON IT.

3.      Unroll and unfold, position as required, spread out each corner tighten any fast air escape tubes the short tube normally also some castles have fast air escape zips with Velcro flaps make sure they are zipped shut.

4.      Insert the blower inside the longest Bouncy Castle tube (inlet tube) at the back of the Bouncy Castle and secure the Bouncy Castle tube in place with the belt strap that was wrapped around the Bouncy castle some Bouncy Castles have their own Belt strap attached. Note: Make sure you have closed all the zips or small tubes i.e. any deflation tubes, which will be the smaller tube at the back of the Bouncy Castle with rope or elastic strap.

5.       Fully unroll extension cable (to prevent the cable from overheating) Cover the extension cable housing with a bin bag liner or similar to prevent rainwater or inquisitive fingers getting in. Try to ensure that the extension cable is fed through a window, sliding door or cat flap as a normal door will damage the cable if it closes on it.

6.       Use the RCD plug unit provided to plug the extension into (The RCD circuit breaker unit must be plugged into a socket that is inside the house or a covered area. Plug the blower cable into extension   socket. Switch on the switch and then press the reset button on the RCD circuit breaker unit. The Blower will start to inflate the Bouncy Castle. It takes  approx 2 mins to inflate. Please ensure there are no Children on the castle whilst it inflates. The blower MUST remain running continuously whilst the castle is in use.

7.       Keep Children away from the Blower and the Electrics!

8.       If used outdoors the unit must be anchored using the anchor points located around the base of the Bouncy Castle.

9.       Stake the Bouncy Castle down by inserting anchor stakes through anchor ropes placed through the anchor point loops on Bouncy Castle sides. Please ensure the stakes are well into the ground so as not to create a hazard to Children. If used on a hard surface use the sand bags provided.

Note: Safety  mats should be placed in front of the
Bouncy Castle when the Bouncy Castle is placed on hard ground or in a indoor hall or alike.

10.    If you are using a Petrol driven Blower motor, you must regulate the motor to make your castle adequately bouncy without over revving. Bouncyness do not supply Petrol driven Blowers for safety reasons. We can supply a hired Petrol Generator at your own cost to the hirer.

11.    Electrical cables should be laid along the edge of the garden, out of Children's way. They should also be fully protected from damage of water

12.    An RCD circuit breaker unit is supplied by Bouncyness.

PACKING THE BOUNCY CASTLE AWAY

1.       Make sure the Bouncy Castle is completely empty of all Children and any debris.

2.       Switch off the electrical supply and disconnect the blower, undo all deflation tubes unzip any deflation zips.

3.       Rewind the Extension cable plug the RCD Circuit breaker and plug into the Extension cable.

4.       A great tip get the children to flatten the castle by rolling over it. This changes their mood from a disappointment to fun again.

5.       Allow the Bouncy Castle to completely deflate around 10 minutes.

6.       Straighten the base. Fold walls in neatly towards centre.

7.       Fold in two longwise except the Bounce House of Fun Adult Bouncy Castle fold this into three and then Roll the unit slowly and as tightly as possible towards the outlet tube, forcing the air out you may need to use the mats or even get the kids to roll on the deflated castle to get the rest of the air out great fun and also changes the disappointment of the castle being deflated.

8.       Secure and store all the equipment read for uplift.

The equipment will be checked on return. If the
Bouncy Castle is wet when packed away, please ensure that as soon as possible it is erected and allowed to dry properly. On no account must it be stored wet for any length of time.

Thanks Bouncyness.
